1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov successfully completed his working visit to Kazan, where he took part in the BRICS summit. During the visit, he met with the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who solemnly presented him with the Order of “Duslyk” for his contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation. Serdar Berdimuhamedov also met with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, discussing prospects for further cooperation. On the second day of the visit, the President of Turkmenistan addressed the plenary session of the BRICS summit in the “outreach” / “BRICS plus” format, putting forward a number of initiatives.

2. Speaking at the BRICS summit, Serdar Berdimuhamedov touched upon the climate issue. He stated that in matters of environmental cooperation, Turkmenistan prioritizes the protection and preservation of the natural landscape in Central Asia, marine resources and biodiversity in the Caspian Sea, the rational use of water and water-energy resources of these regions based on the interests of partners and generally recognized norms of international law.

3. Uzbekistan shows great interest in long-term import of Turkmen natural gas and cooperation in the fuel and energy sector. This was stated by the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov at the international conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan”. He emphasized that stable growth of the economy of Uzbekistan implies further maintenance of demand for traditional energy resources, the consumption of which increases by 10-15% annually.

4. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent heartfelt congratulations to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan on the occasion of the national holiday – Republic Day. In his message, the head of state noted the dynamic development of Turkmen-Kazakh relations, emphasizing the importance of an open and friendly dialogue at the highest state level. He expressed confidence that regular meetings and discussions of bilateral, regional and international issues create a solid foundation for further cooperation in various fields.

5. An exhibition dedicated to the Turkmen dog breed, the Alabai, has opened in the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. Among the first exhibits of the exhibition are archaeological finds - clay figurines of dogs discovered during excavations of the historical monument of Gonur-Depe. The figurines date back to the III and II centuries BC, and there are also later examples dating back to the Middle Ages. Thus, the exhibition demonstrates the close relationship between man and his four-legged friend, which goes back centuries. Alabai are naturally very intelligent animals, characterized by their devotion to man. They are the best assistants to shepherds and border guards.

6. Turkmenistan intends to increase natural gas production to 116 billion cubic meters per year by 2029. This was announced by the head of the gas transportation and gas supply department of the state concern “Turkmengaz” Rustem Tekayev at the International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan”. According to Tekayev, more than half of the produced gas will be intended for export. Turkmenistan is the largest player in the oil and gas market of Asia. The country's hydrocarbon resources are estimated at more than 71 billion tons of oil equivalent, which is more than 20 billion tons of oil and more than 50 trillion cubic meters of natural gas. Turkmenistan is among the top four countries in the world in terms of proven natural gas reserves, along with Russia, Iran and Qatar.

7. The Seoul administration has announced a large-scale program to prevent “lonely deaths” with a budget of 327 million USD over the next five years. The problem has become particularly acute after statistics for 2023 showed that 3661 Koreans died completely alone, with their bodies discovered after a significant amount of time. The gender aspect of the problem is particularly alarming - the overwhelming majority of cases - 84% - are among the male population. The city authorities have developed a comprehensive action plan, including the creation of specialized psychological support, the launch of a 24-hour hotline and an online platform for consultations.

8. Under the interstate agreement, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are starting to implement a large-scale environmental project to protect the Aral Sea region. The Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan ratified the relevant document on cooperation in the field of ecology. The problem has reached critical proportions: over 110 billion tons of toxic substances have accumulated in the Aral Sea basin. This dangerous mixture includes dried agricultural fertilizers, sea salt and particles of bottom sediment.

9. Athletes of the Turkmenistan national team won four bronze medals at the World Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship in Uzbekistan. More than 300 athletes from 34 countries took part in the competition. Bronze medals as part of the Turkmen team were awarded to: Toyli Bazarov, Hadzhiislam Garabayov, Suleyman Allayev and Kasym Yazmyradov.
