President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived on a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation to participate in the XVI BRICS Summit. As reported by TDH, this is the first participation of the head of the Turkmen state in this format, which underlines the high international authority of Turkmenistan and its active role in international efforts to ensure peace and security.
The presidential airliner landed at the Gabdulla Tukay International Airport, where Serdar Berdimuhamedov was warmly greeted by the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials.
From the airport, the head of Turkmenistan went to the residence allocated for the visit – the Guest House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.
Representatives of 36 countries and six international organizations are taking part in the BRICS summit. The forum started on October 22.
