Belgium has officially registered the first national animal rescue service specializing in providing assistance in emergency situations. Rescuers are ready to help both pets and farm animals in the event of natural disasters, fires and other emergency situations, euro-pulse.ru reports.
The rescue service has all the necessary equipment: specialized transport for transporting animals of various sizes, equipment for working with horses and cattle, as well as floating equipment for carrying out rescue operations on the water.
The organization's activities are not limited to rescue operations - it also trains volunteers to work in shelters and provides financial support.
In fact, the service began its work back in 2021, when the country suffered a massive flood. Until recently, it operated unofficially, and only veterinarians provided assistance to animals in emergency situations.
