The powerful hurricane “Milton” dealt a devastating blow to the state of Florida, USA. According to experts, the economic damage from the natural disaster reached an astronomical sum of 50 billion dollars, MIR24 reports.
According to the latest data, at least 16 people became victims of the hurricane. The elements brought with them the heaviest rains, which caused large-scale flooding. In addition, at least 20 tornadoes were recorded, which aggravated the destructive consequences of the hurricane.
As a result of the disaster, about 130 homes were completely destroyed. More than three million Florida residents were left without power, which significantly complicates the process of eliminating the consequences of the disaster and returning to normal life.
State and federal authorities have mobilized all available resources to provide relief to victims and restore infrastructure. The recovery from hurricane “Milton” is expected to take several months.
