During his visit to Turkmenistan, the head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov met with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was held during the days of the wide celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi. The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty emphasized the dynamic nature of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan in the context of interstate dialogue with Russia.
The parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral relations, noting strong ties in the humanitarian sphere, including science, education and culture. Particular attention was paid to the training of highly qualified personnel and the participation of Tatarstan delegations in international events held in Turkmenistan.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed readiness to further expand multilateral cooperation with Tatarstan within the framework of interaction with the Russian Federation. Rustam Minnikhanov, in turn, highly appreciated the contribution of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty to strengthening effective dialogue between the regions.
The parties confirmed their intention to continue developing friendly relations based on common spiritual values. The meeting ended with an exchange of wishes for health and success in government activities.
