Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit, the MIC reports.
In Ashgabat, the Russian leader will take part in the international forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations — the Basis of Peace and Development,” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
It is planned that the delegation led by the Russian leader will lay flowers at the Fragi monument. Talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian are also planned as part of the visit.
The last time the Russian President was in Ashgabat was in June 2022. Then he took part in the sixth Caspian summit.
Earlier, the presidents of Armenia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, and Pakistan arrived in the Turkmen capital.
