On the third day of their visit to Türkiye, the delegation of Turkmen journalists took a fascinating journey through the iconic places of Izmir and its environs.

As reported by the Turkmenportal correspondent, the day began with a visit to the KZM Urla Olive Oil Museum, where the guests were introduced to the thousand-year history of olive growing in the region. The delegation was particularly impressed by the exhibit - the root of an olive tree about 1000 years old.

The next stop on the route was the ancient city of Ephesus, a pearl of ancient architecture. The journalists examined the ruins of once majestic buildings, including the famous Temple of Artemis and the Library of Celsus.

The excursion ended in the picturesque village of Sirince, famous for its culinary traditions and winemaking. Here the delegation was able to appreciate the authentic atmosphere of the Turkish hinterland and enjoy local delicacies.

This eventful day permitted Turkmen journalists to gain a deeper understanding of the cultural wealth of the Aegean region, which will undoubtedly serve to strengthen cultural ties between Turkmenistan and Türkiye.

Earlier, we reported that a delegation of seven representatives of major news sites of Turkmenistan continues its cultural and educational visit to the Turkish city of Izmir, Türkiye.
