The icon of the 90s, Pamela Anderson, at 57, was named “Woman of the Year” by Glamour magazine. The actress appeared on several digital covers of the new issue, demonstrating her natural beauty, RBC Life reports.
For the photo shoot, Anderson acted as her own makeup artist, only occasionally resorting to the help of professional Linda Gradin. The celebrity also created her own hairstyle.
In most of the shots, Pamela appeared practically without makeup, emphasizing only her eyelashes with mascara. Some cover options were decorated with the actress’s bright lips, covered in scarlet lipstick.
In a conversation with Glamour, Anderson shared the reasons for her decision to minimize the use of decorative cosmetics. She admits that she is not against makeup, but believes that in her youth it looked more organic on her. “At 50, you find yourself at a crossroads: chase youth and suffer, or accept yourself as you are,” the actress says.
Pamela emphasizes that it is difficult to talk about self-acceptance while continuing to appear on red carpets and magazine covers with bright makeup. Now she prefers to look “fresh” rather than “polished.”
