1. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where priority issues of state life were considered. The Chairman of the Mejlis, Gulmanova, informed about the ongoing work to modernize national legislation.

2. On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, celebrations are planned in Ashgabat to mark the commissioning of new social facilities. Thus, the grand openings of four 9-story 54-apartment and nine 9-story 36-apartment residential buildings, as well as a park, will take place in the “Parahat-7” residential complex. In this regard, work is underway to repair social and cultural buildings, improve adjacent territories, parks, squares, fountains, and plant decorative flowers. Great importance is attached to the festive decoration of the city.

3. The trade pavilion of Turkmenistan was presented at the opening ceremony of the “Central Asia – Jiangsu” shopping center. The multi-storey shopping center is a multifunctional platform for companies from Central Asian countries. Pavilions with export products from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were also presented at the opening ceremony. The center will be supervised by the National Institute for the Development and Promotion of Non-Resource Exports QazTrade and the SOHO company. The company includes more than 380 enterprises.

4. Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammethan Chakyev reported on the work being done to improve the qualifications of civil aviation personnel. The training will be organized at the School for Training Aviation Personnel of the “Turkmenhowayollary” Agency under the program of the International Civil Aviation Organization. The program includes specialized courses to increase the cargo turnover of the country's international airports, the efficient use of cargo warehouse capacities and an increase in the number of international cargo transportations.

5. Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Atdayev reported on preparations for the exhibition of economic achievements dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for September 19 near the capital's “Garagum” hotel. The exposition will present the reforms carried out under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the country's achievements over the years of independence. The forum will feature presentations of new products of state and private enterprises, investment projects and promising programs for the development of various sectors of the economy.

6. The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan has donated about 165 books in Korean to the Department of Korean Language at the Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. The collection, covering a wide range of topics including speaking, listening, writing and reading, is designed for learners of various levels of language proficiency.

7. A briefing on the establishment of the Regional Climate Technology Center for Central Asian Countries in Ashgabat was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The topic of developing renewable energy sources in Turkmenistan was also covered. The briefing was attended by heads and representatives of relevant departments of Turkmenistan, diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan. The agenda also included issues of rational use of natural resources, increasing energy efficiency, strengthening and actively using the potential of alternative “green” energy in Turkmenistan.

8. Turkish Airlines has announced the expansion of its route network. From December 4, 2024, the carrier will begin flights to Sydney, the largest city in Australia, which will be the airline's first direct route on this continent. Flights between Istanbul and Sydney will be carried out four times a week on modern Airbus A350 aircraft with a technical stop in Kuala Lumpur.

9. The World Health Organization has approved the first vaccine against monkeypox. The drug, developed in Denmark, has successfully passed the prequalification procedure. This procedure permits the vaccine to be included in the official list of medicines, which serves as a guide for procurement in developing countries. The WHO Director-General emphasized the significance of this event, calling it “an important step in the fight against the disease”, both in the context of the current outbreaks in Africa and for future preventive measures.

10. During his visit to Ashgabat, the President of the International Gymnastics Federation Morinari Watanabe singled out the talent of the young Turkmen gymnast Fatima Kambarova. This happened after the demonstration performance of the Turkmenistan national rhythmic gymnastics team. The team prepared a group demonstration performance using various equipment: hoops, ribbons and balls. The head of FIG paid special attention to Fatima Kambarova, whom he singled out among other gymnasts.
