Within the framework of the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Tehran headed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a meeting was held between the heads of the customs services of Turkmenistan and Iran. The main outcome of the meeting was the signing of the Plan of Cooperation for 2025-2026 between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Customs Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, Maksat Hudaykuliyev and Mohammad Rezvani Far discussed the current state of cooperation and prospects for its development. Special attention was paid to the exchange of preliminary data on goods and vehicles, customs statistics and prices of goods, which, according to the parties, has a positive impact on increasing trade turnover between the countries.
The meeting also addressed the issues of organizing exchange visits of delegations to share best practices in the field of personnel training, raising their professional level and application of modern technologies in customs affairs.
Among the topics discussed were the use of technical means of customs control, the introduction of digital customs, electronic declaration and the mechanism of electronic information exchange.
