Key talks on developing cooperation in the fuel and energy complex (FEC) between representatives of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were held in the capital of Turkmenistan. The Uzbek delegation was headed by Energy Minister J. Mirzamahmudov, TDH reports.
During a series of meetings, the parties conducted a comprehensive analysis of the current state of cooperation in the energy sector and discussed promising areas for its expansion.
Particular attention was paid to finding new opportunities to deepen the partnership between Ashgabat and Tashkent in the fuel and energy sector.
Representatives of both countries emphasized their desire to take bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level. This process is planned to be based on the principles of openness and mutual trust, while taking into account the national interests of each state.
The participants in the talks unanimously noted the strategic importance of the past meetings for the further development of relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It is expected that the results of these discussions will serve as a solid foundation for the implementation of joint projects in the energy sector and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
