During a working meeting of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the City of Arkadag D. Orazov announced the start of construction of social and industrial infrastructure facilities as part of the second stage of the first «smart» city in the region, TDH reports.
An upcoming business trip of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the World Smart Cities Exhibition in Seoul, Republic of Korea, was also announced. The exhibition pavilion will present the capabilities of the city of Arkadag based on computer and smart technologies. As part of the visit, which will last from September 1 to 7, meetings with Korean manufacturers of medical products and a visit to specialized factories are planned.
The city of Arkadag, built according to the «smart city» concept, must meet high standards of quality and environmental friendliness. The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty emphasized the importance of combining advanced architectural trends and national architecture in new facilities.
It was noted that the Republic of Korea is an important partner of Turkmenistan, and the King Sejong Korean Educational Center operates in Ashgabat. The inclusion of representatives of relevant structures and students in the delegation will emphasize the importance of international cooperation and youth development.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that such events open up great opportunities for young people and contribute to strengthening international partnerships.
