The Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan, in cooperation with the NGO "Yenme" and the Center for Support of People with Disabilities of Turkmenistan, organized an event as part of the "Back to School" campaign, reports Infoportal.today.
During the event held at the NGO "Yenme", the EU delegation donated 50 school kits to children from vulnerable families and children with disabilities, supporting their educational journey.
This is the third year in a row that the EU Delegation has organized such an event as part of the "Back to School" campaign. The initiative aims to support vulnerable families and school-age children with disabilities. According to the organizers, their example has inspired other embassies and organizations in Turkmenistan to organize similar events.
Ambassador Beata Peksa personally participated in the delivery of backpacks and school supplies to the children. Addressing the young participants of the event, she stressed the importance of education and expressed the EU's support in their academic journey.
