Within the framework of the IX Caspian Media Forum in Astrakhan, an awards ceremony for the winners of the “Caspian without Borders” competition was held, where Turkmen journalists won awards in several nominations.
Ilaman Churiyev from the newspaper “Turkmenistan” took first place in the nomination “PhotoCaspian” for a series of photographs dedicated to the joint performance of artists from the Great Moscow State Circus, the Moscow Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard and the Turkmen equestrian group “Galkynysh”.
The competition, which collected more than 130 works, was held in five nominations: “PhotoCaspian”, “Fresh View”, “Man and the Sea”, “Discovering the Caspian Countries” and “The Caspian - Territory of Health”. In addition to the main awards, the jury also awarded the Grand Prix and special prizes.
Among other distinguished Turkmen participants was Vagif Samedov from the online publication CentralAsia.news, who took second place in the nomination “The Caspian - Territory of Health” for his article on the development of football in Turkmenistan. The jury's special prize was awarded to Matgurban Matkurbanov from the newspaper “Biznes reklama” for his work on the tourism opportunities of Turkmenistan.
