President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a telephone conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, invited the head of the Japanese government to visit Turkmenistan at any time convenient for him, TDH reports.

At the beginning of the conversation, Kishida expressed gratitude to the head of the Turkmen state for supporting the proposal to hold a telephone conversation. Noting that the first Central Asia-Japan Dialogue Summit and bilateral meeting, which were scheduled for August 9 in Astana, were postponed due to the strong earthquake that occurred in Japan, the Prime Minister of Japan asked for the decision to be understood correctly.

On behalf of the entire Turkmen people and on his own behalf, the head of state expressed sincere condolences and words of support, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the victims.

Noting that he treats the decision of the Prime Minister of Japan with great understanding, the President of Turkmenistan expressed his readiness to hold bilateral negotiations designed to help strengthen relations between our countries at any convenient time.

Expressing deep gratitude for these words, Fumio Kishida assured that every effort will be made on the Japanese side to organize the above-mentioned Summit and high-level bilateral meeting in the near future.

Concluding the conversation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited the Prime Minister of Japan to visit Turkmenistan at any time convenient for him.

Thanking for the invitation, Kishida noted that he looked forward to negotiations with the President of Turkmenistan in the near future to determine new areas of joint work.
