Turkmenistan is preparing to hold the 37th meeting of the Consultative Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Population of the CIS Member States. The event is scheduled for October 17-18 this year in Ashgabat, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Information about the upcoming meeting was announced at the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. Vice Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov presented a report on organizational issues and the results of the preliminary meeting held on June 14 via videoconference with the participation of representatives of the CIS countries.
During the meeting, it was noted that Turkmenistan is actively involved in developing cooperation within the CIS. In particular, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the Declaration on Strategic Economic Cooperation of the Commonwealth Member States was developed and adopted in 2019. This document defines cooperation in the field of labor, employment and social protection of the population as one of the priority areas of the CIS.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of strengthening ties with the CIS in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as expanding cooperation with the Commonwealth's industry structures. He instructed to thoroughly prepare for the upcoming meeting of the Advisory Council, which underlines the significance of this event for Turkmenistan and the entire region.
