1. Representatives of the State Concern “Turkmengaz” and the National Oil Company of Abu Dhabi held a video conference to discuss the state and prospects of cooperation in the gas sector. The main topic of the meeting was the development of the “Galkynysh” gas field in Turkmenistan, as well as ADNOC’s participation in international energy projects implemented by Turkmenistan.
2. The Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan adopted a resolution on convening the next meeting of the country's highest representative body of power. The meeting will be held on September 24 in Ashgabat, at the Maslahat köşgi Palace. During the meeting, current issues of the socio-economic and political development of the country, as well as issues related to the implementation of long-term strategic development programs of Turkmenistan will be discussed.
4. A solemn ceremony of donating traditional Turkmen costumes took place at the Russian Ethnographic Museum. Sets of men's and women's clothing were donated to the museum by the “Vozrozhdenie” group of companies. Costumes created by modern artisans in a traditional style include robes, dresses, hats, shoes and jewelry.
5. The Indian Mango Festival, organized by the Indian Embassy in Turkmenistan, was held in Ashgabat. The event was held at the “Yyldyz” hotel and became a striking example of cultural exchange between the two countries. Festival guests were able to get acquainted with the variety of mango varieties. Visitors were offered a wide range of dishes and drinks made from this fruit. Indian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Madhumita Bhagat expressed her readiness to increase the supply of fresh fruits to Ashgabat.

6. Current US President Joe Biden announced his decision not to participate in the upcoming elections. He stressed that his priority is to carry out his current presidential duties until the end of his mandate. Biden argued his decision with concern for the well-being of the country and the interests of the Democratic Party. As a successor, he proposed the candidacy of his vice president, 59-year-old Kamala Harris, who expressed her readiness to run for the post of head of state.
7. Abu Dhabi Airports has announced the launch of the Biometric Smart Travel project, which promises to radically change the check-in process. Now passengers will be able to complete all pre-flight procedures in just seven seconds. The new system covers the entire range of services: from automatic check-in and baggage drop-off to electronic gates and boarding gates. This will permit travelers to do without presenting documents and direct contact with airport staff.

8. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the athletes of Turkmenistan who will defend the honor of the country at the upcoming XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris. The Olympics in the French capital, where 329 sets of medals will be competed in 32 sports, will be held from July 26 to August 11. Turkmenistan will be represented at the main competitions of the four-year period by six athletes who will perform in four sports.
9. The Kyrgyz football club “Abdysh-Ata” and Turkmen forward Suleyman Muhadov agreed to terminate the contract by mutual agreement. “We sincerely thank Suleyman for his great contribution to the team’s success, dedication and devotion to our club”, - the press service of the Kyrgyz club said in a statement. Muhadov joined “Abdysh-Ata” in February 2024. As part of the team, Suleyman became the bronze medalist of the AFC Cup. The transfer cost of the 30-year-old forward is estimated at 75 thousand euros.
