The event was organized jointly by the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Education and Sports, the Ministry of Education, the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports. This is stated in the report of the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
More than 300 young athletes from 14 health centers took part in the tournament. The competitions were held on the basis of the “Nesil” Children's Health Center, which has modern sports grounds and multimedia systems for virtual games.
The program included competitions in phygital football, phygital table tennis, phygital sports dancing and a sports relay race. The peculiarity of the physical disciplines was the combination of virtual and real stages of the competition.
The winners in various categories were teams from the Children's Health Center named after Muhammetmyrat Niyazov, “Yashlyk”, “Nebitchi” and “Chinar”.
The organizers noted that physical sports are actively developing in Turkmenistan, contributing not only to the physical development of children, but also to improving their digital skills.
