The fourth meeting of the Turkmen-Uzbek Business Council was held in Tashkent. The Turkmen delegation at the event was headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Mergen Gurdov, the Uzbek side was represented by the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Dilshod Rasulov.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during the fruitful meeting the parties conducted a comprehensive analysis of the trade and economic opportunities of the two states. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for further expansion of bilateral partnerships in a number of key sectors.
The meeting participants discussed in detail the potential for cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, logistics, agriculture, pharmaceutical industry and tourism.
An important outcome of the meeting was the discussion of plans to intensify contacts between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
