Young Turkmen pianist conquers the world stage

Ylham Orazmammedov, a talented student of the Specialized Music Boarding School at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva, became the winner of a prestigious international online competition.

At the 15th World Open Music Competition, organized by the European Association of Music Teachers and Performers together with the MIR Production Production Agency, Ylham was awarded the title of 1st degree laureate in the piano section, category “Young Artist”.

The young virtuoso demonstrated exceptional skill, scoring an impressive 97.73 points out of a possible 100. The jury highly appreciated his performance, assigning him the level of “Virtuoso Performer”.

Ylham, a 10th grade student in the Special Piano department, comes from a family with a rich musical tradition. His grandmother is a dutar performer, and his grandfather plays the gyjak, which undoubtedly influenced the musical development of the young pianist.

Ylham began his journey in the world of music in 2015 by enrolling in a specialized school. In primary school, his teacher was Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Svetlana Avanesovna Abadonova. In high school, education continued under the guidance of a young and talented teacher, Ogulkeyik Hojagurbanova, who is the winner of international competitions.
