The Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan in the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev took part in the regular meeting of the CIS Economic Council, which was held in Moscow on June 21.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the CIS Economic Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk.
As reported on the website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, the meeting participants heard information on the main target macroeconomic indicators for the development of the economies of the CIS member states for 2023. These indicators objectively characterize the state of the countries' economies, the dynamics of their development and are guidelines when government bodies make decisions in the political, economic and social spheres. It was noted that in 2023, the CIS member states generally adhered to the recommended values of indicators characterizing macroeconomic stability.
Also, issues of the epizootic situation in the CIS member countries in 2018–2023 were considered, an Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Automotive Industry was approved, a Decision was made to amend the Concept of the formation and development of an interstate system of training, professional retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field scientific and technical information. In addition, other issues were considered.
