The summer of 2024 will be the peak of solar activity, accompanied by magnetic storms.
Scientists predict a series of magnetic storms in June, with a peak of activity on June 16-17 (G4). Less intense storms are expected on June 1-2 (G3), June 8-12, June 19-20, June 23, June 28-29.
In addition, according to the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the IKI and ISTP, the Earth’s magnetosphere will be calm on June 4 and 7, as well as in the middle of the month on June 13 and 14.
Also in June 2024, we will see a parade of planets and the peak of the 11-year cycle of solar activity. This information is confirmed by sunspot data and forecasts from the Space Weather Prediction Center.
