Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova met with representatives of the International Labor Organization (ILO), with whom she discussed the progress of implementation of agreements reached during the February visit of Beata Andres, Assistant Director General of the ILO, Head of the ILO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, to Ashgabat. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of interaction between Turkmenistan and the ILO over many years. The issue of further expanding the dialogue and establishing connections on a systematic basis as part of the development of cooperation was discussed.
The meeting participants emphasized the importance of the “Roadmap of cooperation activities between the Government of Turkmenistan and the International Labor Organization for 2024–2025” as the second comprehensive document that identified key areas of interaction and specific steps for the near future.
Separately, the issue of preparing the delegation of Turkmenistan for the upcoming 112th session of the International Labor Conference was considered.
