Türkiye’s flag carrier, Turkish Airlines, set a new record by carrying 83,4 million passengers in 2023. This is 16,1% more than in 2022.
International passenger traffic increased by 27,1%, reaching 29,8 million people. Total seat occupancy increased by 1,9 points to 82,6%, and distance traveled relative to the number of seats increased by 16,4% to 234,8 billion km.
In addition, the Turkish Airlines fleet was replenished with new aircraft, reaching 440 units.
