1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the development of the agro-industrial complex. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Atahalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and the hyakims of the velayats. 4. The musical project “Classical Masterpieces” invites Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital to a concert dedicated to Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. The concert will take place on May 9 at the Turkmenistan cinema and concert center at 19:00. Entry is open to everyone!

A meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan with the Deputy Head of the Trade Representation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in Vienna, Peter Gindl. During the negotiations, prospects for further development of trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Austria were discussed. The parties noted the high level of mutually beneficial Turkmen-Austrian business ties. An exchange of views was held on priorities and opportunities for strengthening cooperation in various areas.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has launched a digital library of international documents, which contains information on the main directions of the country’s domestic and foreign policy. The site is available in Turkmen, English and Russian. The online resource is designed to increase the availability of information about the activities of Turkmenistan in the global arena. The virtual library contains extensive information about the neutral status of Turkmenistan, its participation in multilateral cooperation formats, and peace and security initiatives.

8. More than 83 thousand people have been evacuated, about 1,16 million households are without power, schools are closed - these are the consequences of the rampant disaster in southern China. Landslides occurred in the mountains, rivers overflowed their banks, flooding entire settlements. Rescuers had difficulty reaching the isolated village of Jiangwan in Guangdong province, where about 3,6 thousand people live.
9. The German Air and Space Center (DLR) in Cologne is looking for volunteers willing to stay in bed for two months as part of a new scientific study. Participants in the experiment, which starts this fall, will be asked to spend 60 days in bed with the head of the bed raised 6 degrees, simulating microgravity conditions. People aged 24 to 55, height from 153 to 190 centimeters and a body mass index of 18 to 30 are invited to participate in the study. They also need to be in good health, not smoke, and have a good command of the German language.

11. In the 33rd round of the Italian football championship, “Inter” defeated their principal rival “Milan” with a score of 2:1.
