By analyzing items left behind by passengers in Uber taxis in early 2024, the company compiled a “Lost and Found Index” of both the most common and the most unusual items. Mail.ru reports this.
The top 50 weirdest finds include: a live turtle, a paternity test, a rat skeleton, a Beyonce fan, containers with spiders, a jar of oysters, police handcuffs, a “little box with a gnome”, meditation crystals, a cardboard panda, a WWE championship belt, a magic wand, Taylor Swift's autograph and even a home robot.
Despite all the eccentricity of these items, they are not leaders in forgetfulness. The top 10 “lost items” included more common items: clothes, luggage (suitcase or bag), headphones, wallet, jewelry, smartphone, camera, tablet or book, laptop.
Uber also shared statistics:
Red color: things of this color are most often lost.
Mini Cooper: the keys to this car brand are forgotten more often than others.
January 21: the day with the largest number of things forgotten in taxis.
From 9 to 10 pm: the time when people are most likely to be distracted and forget their things, apparently due to fatigue.
It's good to note that Uber reports that most items found are returned to their rightful owners.
