Customs officers of Turkmenistan and China exchanged experience in the development of the AEO program

Representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the customs authorities of China exchanged experience in the development of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program during the visit of the Chinese delegation to Turkmenistan, reports the official website of the State Customs Service.

The visit was held within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China to expand the capabilities of the AEO program.

During the visit, the Chinese delegation was received by the leadership of the Turkmen customs service, where the parties discussed issues of implementation of the Memorandum. It was noted that the customs of Turkmenistan is actively studying all aspects of the AEO institution for its effective implementation, attaching great importance to the Chinese experience.

A seminar was held in the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan building with the participation of customs officers and members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. Chinese experts shared their experience of implementing the AEO program in China, talking about the history of its development, current functioning and prospects. At the end of the seminar, an exchange of views took place.

The guests also got acquainted with the activities of the customs authorities of Turkmenistan. At the situation center they were shown a video about the customs service, its improvement and achievements. The visit ended with a visit to the customs office of the city of Arkadag, where the delegation got acquainted with the infrastructure of the administrative building and met with the personnel.
