1. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov severely reprimanded the hyakim of the Turkmen capital Rahym Gandymov “for improper performance of official duties, weakening of control over subordinate structures, as well as shortcomings in carrying out improvement and cleaning work”. In addition, the head of state announced a “severe reprimand with a final warning” to the deputy hyakim of the city of Ashgabat, Bayrammyrat Gurbanov.
3. A meeting of the Austrian-Turkmen Society was held in Vienna, during which issues of developing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation were discussed. The meeting was attended by board members and society participants, heads of Austrian companies, as well as representatives of Turkmen companies who connected online from Ashgabat. 4. An international scientific conference on the topic “The contribution of the Turkmen poet, philosopher and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi to world literature” was held in Moscow. The forum became an important event in a number of events held in Russia to mark the 300th anniversary of the classic of Turkmen literature with the organizational support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan. During the conference, poems by the great thinker and poet were read, professional musicians performed songs and romances by Turkmen composers based on Magtymguly’s poems.
5. During the meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov and the Head of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic Arayik Harutyunyan, the possibility of intensifying cultural and humanitarian ties was considered. The parties discussed the prospects for the development of trade relations between the two countries through the use of the transport and logistics potential of Turkmenistan.

6. At Buckingham Palace, King Charles III received the first copies of new banknotes with his image. The notes, which will go into circulation in June, mark a new milestone in the history of the British monarchy. The presentation ceremony was attended by Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey and Chief Cashier Sarah John. King Charles III will be featured on all 5, 10, 20 and 50 pounds banknotes. 7. Malta is considering using airships for public transport. In the near future, residents and visitors of the island may be able to travel by airship to the neighboring island of Gozo and even to Sicily. Currently, you can get from Malta to Gozo by ferry, and to Sicily by ferry or plane. The introduction of airships will reduce harmful emissions by 90%.

8. From April 15 to 20, the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports will hold an international hockey tournament in Ashgabat. The matches will take place in the small and large arenas of the Winter Sports Complex. The opening ceremony will take place on April 15. Tickets for the matches are already available for purchase at the box office of the Sports Complex, the “Ashgabat” and “Berkarar” shopping and entertainment centers. The cost of one ticket is 25 manats. Hockey teams from 10 countries will take part in the tournament: Russia, Belarus, Iran, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Bahrain, and Turkmenistan.
9. Turkmen chess player Jemal Ovezdurdyeva showed an outstanding result at the 17th open international chess tournament “Georgy Agzamov Memorial” in Uzbekistan, taking first place among women in the strongest group “A”. During the tournament, Jemal Ovezdurdyeva won victories over famous grandmasters such as Alexey Alexandrov from Belarus, Igor Yagupov from Russia, as well as over the U14 world champion Afruza Hamdanova from Uzbekistan.
