The services of Turkmenistan Airlines are successfully used by Russian tourists flying to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur.
The Turkmenistan airline noted an increase in demand for these destinations following the successful resumption of flights to Bangkok and an increase in the number of available seats for sale in December 2023. As a result, by the end of March this year, flight occupancy exceeded 90%. This was reported by the vestiabad publication with reference to the press service of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
This step provides greater flexibility for Russian travelers and opens up additional prospects.
The total travel time for a tourist from Russia to Kuala Lumpur is about 13 hours, taking into account connecting flights and waiting time. The minimum flight time on this route is 12 hours 35 minutes, which is longer than the alternative route via Dubai. However, the waiting time for connecting flights is about 7 hours.
The number of flights from Ashgabat to Moscow by the Turkmen airline is five flights per week.
