The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care was awarded a certificate from the UN Office in Turkmenistan.

The certificate is awarded for valuable contributions to helping children in need and the implementation of the core principle of the 2030 Agenda - “leaving no one behind”.

UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko, who took part in the forum on the occasion of the creation of the Charitable Fund, noted that the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, preventive diplomacy, and foreign policy initiatives of Turkmenistan on topical regional issues are constantly supported by the Community of Nations and other authoritative international organizations.

At the same time, the importance of the principle of neutrality for the development of peaceful, friendly and constructive relations between states and peoples was emphasized.

Expressing congratulations on the unanimous adoption of the Resolution “2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust” at the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, D. Shlapachenko emphasized that this significant event is a clear confirmation of broad support on the part of the world community, the policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, aimed at maintaining peace and ensuring prosperity, sustainable development at the regional and global level.

Independent, neutral Turkmenistan demonstrates in practice its commitment to the programs developed by the United Nations regarding the rights and interests of children.

In this regard, Dmitry Shlapachenko presented a certificate awarded to the Charitable Foundation for its valuable contribution to helping children in need and the implementation of the main principle of the 2030 Agenda “leaving no one behind,” TDH reports.
