The Ambassador recalled the words of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty that the Turkmen-Chinese ties of friendship and brotherhood are rooted in the depths of history. In 49 BC. The ancestors of the Turkmens signed an agreement with China, called the “Oath Treaty,” indicating the closeness of the two peoples. In this regard, the ambassador expressed heartfelt gratitude to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his contribution to strengthening interstate relations.

The governments of the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on linking the “Revival of the Great Silk Road” and “One Belt, One Road” initiatives. A symbol of cooperation is the transnational gas pipeline through which Turkmen gas is supplied to China.
