The Hollywood “Walk of Fame” has received a new star in honor of one of the most influential hip-hop artists and producers, Dr. Dre. The opening ceremony was attended by hip-hop stars such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent. This was reported by go.zvuk.com with reference to Billboard.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Dre admitted that he never thought that his name would be adjacent to the names of his idols. “I'm lucky to be able to make a living doing what I love to do. Isn’t this a dream?” - he addressed the enthusiastic crowd.
“What I’m most proud of is that I was able to change the sound and perception of hip-hop”, - added Dr. Dre.
It is worth noting that Dr. Dre is the winner of six “Grammy” Awards, his 1992 album The Chronic reached number three on the Billboard chart, and he produced such hits as California Love (2Pac) and In Da Club (50 Cent).
