President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone on his re-election to the highest government post in the Russian Federation, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
“Your re-election to this highest post is an indicator of the high trust placed in you and recognition of your services to the country”, - said the head of the Turkmen state, also conveying congratulations to his colleague on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the conversation, the parties noted the high level of Turkmen-Russian relations based on friendship, trust and mutual understanding. The constructive interaction of countries in a bilateral format and international organizations was especially noted.
The development of trade and economic ties occupies an important place on the partnership agenda. Cultural and humanitarian cooperation and inter-parliamentary contacts are also actively supported.
