Turkmenistan is preparing to take part in the international economic forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum”, which will be held from May 14 to 19 in Kazan.
According to tmrl.gov.tm, the main directions of the forum will be the halal industry, Islamic finance, development of transport corridors, and education. The topic of tourism, including medical tourism, is also included.
Traditionally, the international trade fair Kazan Halal Market and the festival of decent fashion are held within the framework of KazanForum.
The cultural program of the forum this year has been expanded: there will be separate events on digital Islamic art, the creative economy, and the film industry. An important topic will be the development of sports. The international forum of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry will bring together business representatives from Islamic countries.
KazanForum has been held in the capital of Tatarstan annually since 2009. By decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the forum received federal status in 2023.
