On March 17-19, Turkmenistan will host large-scale events dedicated to the 16th anniversary of the formation of the country’s Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (UIET). Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Atdayev reported this at a government meeting, TDH reports.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan dated December 20, 2023, preparations are underway to hold an exhibition and conference at a high level.
At the exhibition, more than 200 members of the UIET, specializing in various industries, will present their products and achievements over 16 years of work.
The conference will discuss the successes of private entrepreneurship and new challenges, including measures to optimally harness the potential of this sector, defined in the country’s socio-economic development programs until 2028 and for 2024.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the growing role of the private sector in the national economy as a result of reforms to develop entrepreneurship. He emphasized that the exhibition and conference for the 16th anniversary of the UIET should be held at a high organizational level, giving the Deputy Prime Minister the appropriate instructions.
