1. The working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Türkiye has ended. As already reported, on March 2, the head of the Halk Maslahaty, at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, took part in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum. In his speech, the National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that the current situation in the system of international relations poses a number of serious issues to the world community, affecting, in fact, not only politics, economics and law, but also ethical legal norms and relations of honor and dignity.
2. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree conferring the honorary title Ene mähri on mothers of large families. The head of state noted the important role of mothers, who carry out great work to preserve the sacred family hearth, raise their sons and daughters with dignity, and strengthen the unity of Turkmen society.
3. The issue of holding the Days of Armenian Culture in Turkmenistan was discussed during a meeting in Yerevan by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Muhammetgeldi Ayazov and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan. The parties reportedly agreed to intensify cultural exchanges between the two countries. Issues of cooperation in the humanitarian, educational and sports fields were discussed.
4. A cooperation agreement was signed by representatives of the joint Turkmen-Russian secondary school named after A.S. Pushkin in Ashgabat and Astrakhan State University. The signing ceremony was held at Astrakhan State University within the framework of a television quiz dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
5. A delegation from Turkmenistan consisting of university teachers, students, schoolchildren and specialists from digital services departments are participating in the World Youth Festival 2024, which is taking place in Sochi. In total, the Turkmen delegation consists of 17 people. The grand opening of the festival was held on February 29 at the “Bolshoi” stadium in the federal territory of Sirius. More than 20 thousand young leaders in the fields of education, science, culture, international cooperation, and volunteerism from more than 180 countries take part in the festival.

6. Global chocolate producers are faced with a record rise in cocoa bean prices. This forces them to resort to various tricks. Nut-flavored chocolate bars that are two-thirds lighter than their competitors have launched in the UK. Instead of traditional chocolate, manufacturers are increasingly using peanut butter and caramel, increasing their content in sweets. Experts believe cocoa prices will remain high for the foreseeable future.
7. The Spanish Parliament is preparing a bill to cancel short-haul domestic flights where train travel time does not exceed 2,5 hours. The list of “prohibited” destinations has not yet been announced, but flights from Madrid to Barcelona, Malaga and Valencia may be at risk. An exception will be made for connecting flights that are part of international routes.

The Tajik football club “Ravshan” announced the signing of an agreement with the Turkmen midfielder Musa Nurnazarov, who played for “Merv” last season. “Welcome, Musa!” says the message from the Kulyab team. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the 25 years old football player’s contract with the representative of the Tajikistan Major League runs until December 31, 2024.
9. On March 3, the first round of the Turkmenistan football championship started with the match “Ashgabat” - “Kopetdag”. Representatives of the Major League were unable to identify the winner, the meeting ended with a score of 0:0. The first round will continue with three matches on Monday, in which “Altyn Asyr” – “Shagadam”, “Nebitchi” – “Merv” and “Ahal” – “Energetik” will meet. Please note that the championship will be held in four rounds. The winner of last season was the “Arkadag” team.
