On March 3, the first round of the Turkmenistan football championship started with the match between Ashgabat and Kopetdag. Representatives of the Major League were unable to identify the winner, the meeting ended with a score of 0:0.
The first round will continue with three matches on Monday, in which Altyn Asyr - Shagadam, Nebitchi - Merv and Ahal - Energetik will meet.
Please note that the championship will be held in four rounds. The winner of last season was the Arkadag team. The silver medals of the national championship were won by the capital's Altyn Asyr for the second year in a row, and the bronze medals by the Balkanabat Nebitchi for the 7th time.
Ahal striker Elman Tagaev was recognized as the best football player of Turkmenistan last season. And in the dispute between scorers, Arkadag forward Didar Durdyev took the lead with 27 goals scored.
Following the results of last year’s national championship, the Altyn Asyr club was awarded the fair play prize, established by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan and awarded to the team with the best disciplinary performance.
