Based on the results of negotiations between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a package of bilateral documents was signed in Antalya on March 1, designed to strengthen the Turkmen-Turkish partnership, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
In particular, Turkmenistan and Türkiye signed:
- Declaration of intent on cooperation in the field of hydrocarbon resources between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye;
- Memorandum of mutual cooperation on the development of partnership in the field of natural gas between the State Concern “Turkmengas” and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye;
- Memorandum of Understanding between “Türkmenistan Airline” Open Joint Stock Company and the University of the Turkish Aeronautics Association.
Thus, the signed agreements lay the foundation for large-scale joint projects in strategic sectors of the economies of the two countries in the coming years.
