Turkmen businessmen involved in the textile industry and the production of building materials studied the investment potential of Kazakhstan within the framework of a business mission organized by the “Astana” Diplomatic Club and with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkmenistan.
For three days, representatives of the delegation met with the leadership of specialized organizations in Astana, such as the Office for Investment and Entrepreneurship Development of the city of Astana, Astana Invest and the “Astana Development Center”. At the meetings, the possibilities of implementing joint investment projects were discussed, including within the framework of the “Astana-Technopolis” special economic zone.
Turkmen businessmen were interested in the prospects of locating a textile production and a plant for the production of construction bitumen on the territory of the SEZ for the further sale of these products on the Kazakhstan market. The delegation also visited operating enterprises of the CEZ Industrial Park.
The visit ended with a discussion of further areas of cooperation between the business communities of the two countries in the areas of investment, construction, chemical industry and innovation. Participants noted the great potential for developing partnerships in various sectors of the economy.
In the near future, to develop Turkmen-Kazakh trade and economic cooperation, it is planned to organize new business missions of Turkmen entrepreneurs in Almaty, Shymkent, Aktau and Astana.
