At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the results of the work of the agro-industrial complex of Turkmenistan in January were discussed, TDH reports.

As Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahalliyev reported, in January the growth rate of production in the industry amounted to 101% compared to the same period last year.

At the same time, for the Ministry of Agriculture - 100.2%, the Ministry of Environmental Protection - 123.3%, the State Committee for Water Resources - 111.6%, the State Association of Türkmen atlary - 102.1%. The investment development plan has been completed by 193%.

It was noted that appropriate organizational measures are being taken to establish the activities of the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Concern Türkmenpagta, the state associations Türkmengallaönümleri, Türkmenobahyzmat, the food industry, as well as the livestock and poultry industry of Turkmenistan.

Caring for wheat fields, preparing for cotton sowing, as well as agricultural machinery for the spring season continues. Along with this, every effort is being made to develop livestock farming, increase the number of livestock, as well as provide them with a warm and well-fed winter.

Summing up, the head of state noted the importance of rational use of water resources and modernization of the water supply system in agriculture. He instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to strengthen control over the timely implementation of seasonal work in the regions in accordance with agrotechnical standards.
