1. The first meeting of the heads of parliaments of the member countries of the Group of Friends of Neutrality “The Role of Parliamentary Cooperation in Strengthening Peace and Dialogue” was held in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan in a hybrid format. Speakers of parliaments from around the world, as well as leaders and representatives of international and regional organizations took part in the multilateral meeting.

2. Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov received copies of credentials from the new Indian Ambassador to Ashgabat Madhumita Bhagat. The head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry congratulated the diplomat on her appointment to a responsible post and wished her success in her work. At the meeting, the parties spoke in favor of intensifying cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.

3. Turkmen-Georgian inter-Ministry of Foreign Affairs consultations were held in Ashgabat. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Georgia. The parties discussed a wide range of issues regarding the current state and prospects of political and diplomatic cooperation, trade and economic partnership and cultural and humanitarian ties between countries. The areas of transport, energy, trade, agriculture, tourism, as well as scientific and cultural exchanges were identified as promising areas of bilateral partnership.

4. Folklore dance and vocal groups of the cultural departments of the Balkan velayat took part in a competition held recently, organized by the Balkan regional department of culture and the velayat council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization. The winner of the competition was the dance group Misserian of the Culture Department of the Gyzylarbat etrap.

5. This year, in the village of Jebel in Balkan velayat, it is planned to successfully complete the construction of a new international airport capable of serving up to 100 passengers per hour. Currently, construction work here is carried out at a high pace, 112 units of the most advanced equipment are used, and about 650 different specialists are involved in several shifts.

6. Engineers from the University of Washington presented a new product - smart earrings that can become an alternative to fitness bracelets. The miniature gadget is equipped with two thermometers, one of which measures the temperature of the earlobe, and the other measures the ambient temperature. Analyzing the difference, earrings determine various states of the body: sleep quality, diet, stress level. Compared to smartwatches, earrings showed higher accuracy in tracking health indicators.

7. 32 years old Marlene Engelhorn from Austria, who inherited a multi-million dollar fortune, decided to give away most of the money to charity. The only heiress of the Engelhorn family, founders of the chemical concern BASF, Marlene inherited 25 million euros from her grandmother. The woman, known for her stance on tax fairness, doesn't want that money to just sit in the estate. Instead, she created a citizens' council in Austria that would decide how to distribute the funds. The council will consist of 50 people randomly selected from among Austrian citizens over 16 years of age. 90% of the inheritance will be distributed according to proposals developed by council members.

8. The International Football Federation has published an updated version of the ranking of national teams. The Turkmenistan national team remained in 141st position. The current head coach of the Turkmen national team since January 2023 is Mergen Orazov. The national team of Turkmenistan occupied the highest place in the FIFA ranking in April 2004 - 86th place. Let us note that among the football teams of Central Asian countries, the Iranian team is highest in the ranking, followed by Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

9. A team of referees from Turkmenistan, led by Alibek Sapayev, conducted a friendly match between the Russian “Krasnodar” and the Kazakh “Astana”. The meeting was held in Abu Dhabi. The game ended with a score of 4:2 in favor of “Astana”.

10. Turkmenistan national team defender Vepa Jumayev gave his first interview to the “Vitebsk” press service after moving to the club from “Energetika-BGU”. Jumayev noted that he did not hesitate when he was offered to move to “Vitebsk”. According to him, the club has excellent infrastructure, fans and is located in a beautiful city. The football player remembered his first steps in football. As a child, he played for the youth clubs “Arvana” and “Burgut”. At the age of 17, Jumayev signed a contract with Ashgabat “Kopetdag”, and made his debut in the Turkmenistan Cup match against “Merv”.
