Based on the results of 2023, the Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat was chosen as the best etrap of Turkmenistan and received 1 million USD as a cash prize.
At an extended meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, noting that at the beginning of 2023, a traditional competition was announced to determine the best etrap and city with etrap rights, gave the floor to the Chairman of the National Center of Trade Unions A. Durdyeva to announce the results of the special commission.
As A. Durdyeva reported, in accordance with the relevant Order of the President of Turkmenistan, the Commission carried out proper work in the prescribed manner. Based on its results, the best etrap of the country was chosen in 2023, held under the motto “Happy youth with Arkadag Serdar.” Based on the results of the competition, the Ak Bugday etrap of Ahal velayat was determined as the winner as having achieved the best results in terms of social, economic and cultural indicators.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to the applause of the meeting participants, signed an Order on awarding a cash prize in the amount of $1 million to the hyakimlik of Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal velayat, and announcing a similar competition in 2024.
Let us remind that the best etrap of Turkmenistan in 2022 was the Magtymguly etrap of the Balkan velayat.
