One of the largest online stores in Russia, Wildberries, is exploring the possibility of entering the market of Turkmenistan and a number of other countries, reports RIA Novosti.
“We understand that in order to continue to maintain growth, we need to expand our geographic footprint. ... We look first of all at all the countries with which we border. In the countries that are members of the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union), we are already present everywhere. Now we are looking at the CIS countries, for example, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan”, - said the founder of the company Tatyana Bakalchuk.
Wildberries also said that they are working to establish logistics in Azerbaijan. The company is also considering expanding its presence in the Middle East market - in the UAE and the Gulf countries.
Wildberries was founded in 2004 and currently operates in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Uzbekistan. On the online store’s website you can find more than 37 thousand brands of clothing, shoes, cosmetics, household goods, children’s goods, electronics, books, jewelry, groceries, etc.
