The delegation of Turkmenistan during the Global Gateway Investor Forum in Brussels held a session “Gateway of Turkmenistan: exploring the possibilities of a transit hub,” reports the website of the Turkmendenizderyayollary agency.
At the session, representatives of the public and private sectors of Turkmenistan presented key investment projects in the field of transport and logistics and invited European companies to cooperate.
Deputy Chairman of the Turkmendenizderyayollary agency Seyitguly Bayseyidov highlighted several shipbuilding projects that are designed to meet the growing demand for maritime transport. He invited potential partners to visit Turkmenistan to discuss the possibilities of partial or full financing of these projects.
General Director of OJSC “Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan” Merdan Bashimov proposed establishing a joint feeder service between the Black Sea ports and drew attention to modernization projects of the country’s key railway terminals.
Participants noted that in conditions of global instability, Turkmenistan guarantees the reliability of cargo transit between Europe and Asia and is ready to play a key role as a transport hub of two continents.
The session demonstrated the high interest of European companies in investing in the development of the transport infrastructure of Turkmenistan.
