Competitions on the topic of ecology will be held among students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the goal of the competitions is to expand young people’s understanding of the role and significance of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28). The events are also aimed at attracting the attention of young people to issues of global cooperation in the field of ecology and environmental protection, stimulating the activity and participation of young people in solving universal problems related to climate change.
On February 20, the IIR will host a drawing competition called YOUNG SUPPORT TO ONE WORLD. Participants in the competition will have 30 minutes to prepare thematic drawings and come up with slogans for their works. One of the participants from each team will be required to present a 5-minute presentation to the jury on the content of the drawing and its meaning.
The essay competition entitled “500 words on ecology” will be dedicated to the 28th meeting of the parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Participants are asked to write a thematic abstract of no more than 500 words and submit the work to the selection committee by February 28. Works are accepted in Turkmen, Russian and English.
The results of the competition will be announced on March 11. The work of the competition winner will be published on the IMO website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The winners of the Grand Prix, I, II and III places will be awarded Certificates of Honor and memorable gifts, the source notes.
