A meeting was held in Kazan between the Consul General of Turkmenistan Guych Garayev and the head of the Turkmen diaspora in Tatarstan Hemra Rozyev, the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission reports.
The parties discussed the action plan for 2024, declared in Turkmenistan the year of “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi.” Consul General Garayev invited compatriots to take an active part in the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet.
An agreement was also reached to hold a presentation in Kazan of the book of the President of Turkmenistan “Youth is the support of the Motherland” among Turkmen youth studying at universities in the capital of Tatarstan.
Chairman of the NGO “National-Cultural Autonomy of Turkmens” of the Republic of Tatarstan, Khemra Rozyev, assured of the readiness of compatriots living in Tatarstan to participate in events aimed at strengthening friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
