On the eve of the Chinese New Year, a meeting was held between Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong and ambassadors of Central Asian countries, including the head of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan, Parahat Durdyev, reports the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in China.
The parties summed up the results of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in 2023 and discussed promising directions for 2024.
As noted, the past year was marked by significant events in relations between China and the states of Central Asia. State visits of the region's leaders to the PRC took place, a summit of heads of state was held in Xi'an within the framework of the Central Asia - China Format and the III Forum of International Cooperation "One Belt, One Road" in Beijing.
The meeting participants noted the importance of implementing previously reached agreements and socio-economic projects that will meet the interests of all parties.
In 2024, Turkmenistan and China, as comprehensive strategic partners, will continue to strengthen cooperation in various fields, the publication of the Turkmen Embassy in China emphasizes.
