The Canadian company NuraLogix presented at CES 2024 a new device for diagnosing diseases by the face - the “magic mirror” Anura MagicMirror. “Rambler” reports this with reference to CNET.

The device is a tabletop mirror with a 21,5-inch screen, cameras and other sensors. It scans a person's face, analyzing blood flow in the vessels under the skin. This is done using patented transdermal optical imaging technology.

Machine learning algorithms analyze more than 100 health parameters based on the data obtained.

Anura MagicMirror can provide information on blood pressure, body mass index, heart rate variability, pulse rate, respiration rate and facial skin age. The device can also provide risk assessments for diabetes, heart disease, stroke, hypertension, fatty liver disease and more. Anura MagicMirror also offers a mental health risk assessment and detects, for example, signs of anxiety and depression.

Scanning a face takes only 30 seconds, as a result of which the user receives information about potential pathologies.

The release date and cost of the device have not yet been disclosed. It is likely that Anura MagicMirror will be used in hospital waiting rooms and nursing homes.
