Fans of the Hershey Bears hockey club in the United States set a new world record by throwing 74,599 stuffed animals onto the ice during an AHL match with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. This is reported by daily.afisha.ru with a link to the team’s website.

Due to the huge number of toys on the ice, the game had to be suspended for 50 minutes. During this time, players and volunteers bagged toys for local charities.

The previous world record was also held by Hershey Bears fans. In 2023, they threw 67 309 stuffed animals onto the ice.

The Teddy Bear Toss has been held at Hershey Bears since 2001. It is part of the Hershey Bears Cares charity initiative, which donates collected toys to more than 30 local and regional organizations.
