1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held the first meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2024, at which issues of upcoming events and development plans for the country were discussed. In particular, the agenda included issues of regulating foreign trade and improving investment policy, plans in the areas of construction, fuel and energy complex, culture and information technology.
2. During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the Work Plan of the sectoral departments of the oil and gas complex for the current year. According to the plan, the state concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit” are tasked with developing new oil and gas fields, increasing the production of natural and associated gas, oil and gas condensate. It is also planned to increase the production of liquefied gas and the export of Turkmen energy resources to foreign markets.
3. Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on the ongoing work to strengthen the country’s educational and scientific base, its material and technical equipment. A proposal was made to design and build a modern secondary school for 1,200 places and a dormitory for 120 places in the village of Bokurdak in the Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal velayat.
5. On April 24-25, the capital of France will host the International Forum to attract foreign investment in the energy sector of Turkmenistan. 6. The grand opening of the first day of fashion shows of national Turkmen clothing was held at the Ashgabat Fashion House.
